meta中关于 Yate correction的疑问

老师好！meta分析中有一句话没看明白，
The Yate correction was used for those studies that contained a zero in onecell for the number of events of interest in one of the two groups[16,17].These “zero cells” created problems with the computation of ratio measure and its standard error of thetreatment effect.
其中这个Yate correction 是什么东西？以上这句话怎么理解呢？

而且后文提到解决方法是，：This was resolved by adding the value “0.5” ineach cell of the 2 X 2 table for the study in question.
这又应该怎么理解？
